June Update - Bernie, Benefit & More

On May 18 Bernie Krisher, the founder of American Assistance for Cambodia, visited Atlanta on a trip from Tokyo. During a busy weekend, Bernie was able to meet congregants of The Temple on Saturday and speak at a brunch at our house on Sunday. Over 60 people turned out to hear Bernie tell about his life in Asia and how he became involved in philanthropy. He spoke about his numerous projects, including his Cambodia School Project. Everyone who heard Bernie’s story was amazed to learn how much one person has been able to transform a country.

We have also selected a venue and a date for our Heart to Heart Benefit and art auction. Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 20 and join us at the Timothy Michael Gallery in Roswell – an amazing space with gorgeous work. Be on the look out for more information on this event!

Fundraising update: After a few months of fundraising, we have raised over $3,000, with commitments for another $500. We are making a lot of progress and appreciate the help of everyone who has provided both time and money to our project.
